Editorial Assessment

I’ll read your complete manuscript and provide you with a written overview, giving you guidance on what works, the areas that could be improved, and where to focus your next draft.

Copy Edit/Proofread

This edit focusses on punctation, spelling, and grammar, and I will provide a light copy edit here also if required. This is the final polish for a book before publication or before submitting to agencies.

Developmental Edit

This is the most in-depth look at your manuscript, offering specific granular suggestions. This edit looks at the overall manuscript as well as individual chapters, and takes into account plot, tension, structure, voice, character development, dialogue, and language, advising on all elements.

Editorial Workshop

Are you stuck? Perhaps you’ve got a great start to your book, or a brilliant character, or a unique ‘what if’ scenario and are unsure where to go from there. What you need is a fresh pair of eyes to kickstart your creativity. I’ll read what you have so far, and then we can workshop face-to-face for an hour or even two, and brainstorm your next steps. You’ll leave this workshop with a clear vision of where you can go with your initial idea and a plan for your next draft, and I’ll provide you with a written report to refer to afterwards.
